CNA Train the Trainer Program

NATCEP Train the Trainer (TTT) program is a 5-day, hybrid training (online and in-person) for those either wanting to be a Program Coordinator (PC) of their own CNA school and/or registered nurses interested in teaching people to become nurse aides. 

Training Curriculum Topics:

  • Framework for Testing

  • The Training Environment

  • Course Material Design and Process

  • Learning the Ohio Administrative Codes rules that pertain to NATCEP and TTT

  • Issues in LTCFs

This training is approved by the Ohio Department of Health

Training Requirements

Program Administrator/Coordinator:

Responsible for the overall administration and accountability of the program, which includes assuring the program's compliance. No degree or licensure required. This training is NOT required to be a Program Administrator, however recommended for those wanting to open their own CNA school. 

Primary Instructor:

Must possess a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) with two years of nursing experience at least one of which must be in a long term care facility or experience in caring for the elderly or chronically ill.

Primary Instructors must provide documentation that they have, at minimum:

(a) Successfully completed a TTT program; or

(b) One year experience in teaching adults and possesses the training manual; or

(c) Within the previous three years, provided at least one year of direct supervision of nurse aides in a long-term care facility as a registered nurse

How to Enroll

1. Complete registration form below

  • ​Choose a DAY & TIME to come in-person for Day 5

    • Must be within 3 weeks of enrollment 

    • DAY 5 will be in-person for at least 2 hours and no more than 4 hours

2. Pay retainer of $150 to secure your spot OR pay in full $650

  • The remaining balance will be due Day 5 of class

3. You will receive an email with more information within 48 hours
