Certified Nurse Aide Instructor
NATCEP Train the Trainer (TTT) program is a hybrid training (online and in-person) for nurses interested in teaching nurse aides. Ohio Administrative Codes require that nurses who serve as Program Coordinators (PCs) and Primary Instructors (PIs) for Training Competency and Evaluation Programs (TCEPs) take a state-approved Train the Trainer (TTT) course.

Training Requirements:
Program Coordinator- must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least two years (3200 hours) of nursing experience, at least one year (1600 hours) of which must be in a skilled nursing facility/nursing home.
Primary Instructor- must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least two years (3200 hours) of geriatric or chronic care experience (long-term care facility, home health agency, hospital providing care to the chronically ill) OR a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must have two years (3200 hours) of nursing experience employed in a skilled nursing facility/nursing home
- Nursing experiences hours must be verified by letterhead statements from current and/or previous nursing home employers

- Learning the Ohio Administrative Codes rules that pertain to NATCEP and TTT
- Issues in LTCFs
